There are a few roles we would like parents to help with and take some of the workload off the coaches.
If there are any parents who would like to help with the coaching please contact Rod. We will arrange courses you can attend and develop your coaching skills.
We also would like a parent or parents to help with writing match reports for the website and the local newspaper.
The u15s had another excellent season and lost just 1 game up to the Xmas break but during February they were hit by injuries and had to cancel 5 games. They regrouped during March and enjoyed a good run in to the end of season losing just 2 games. In the Yorkshire Cup they lost to Harrogate in the semi final and again to Harrogate in the final at the Heaton Moor Festival.
Congratulations to Ted Grogan who attended the ERDPP trials and gave a good account of himself to be selected for Yorkshire. He played in all their county matches abs scored several tries.
It was not a good season for player recruitment as the squad failed to attract any newe new players.

We have a team of 3 coaches with RFU Coaching qualifications. They will ensure all players of all abilities have a pleasurable rugby experience in a safe and controlled environment. There will be a number of players returning again this year but it would be great to see more new arrivals, both those who are encountering rugby for the first time or those who are looking to supplement some experience gained at school or other clubs. The emphasis is on enjoyment and team spirit through rugby. Winning is an enjoyable experience, but if you achieve pleasure from the game success often comes as a by-product.
The under 15s play 15 a side contact rugby on a full size pitch. On match day Sundays the squad meet at 10am and train/warm up till 11am when the matches start.
There is an opportunity to play at a higher level with County Representative rugby.
