Welcome to the under 12's page. This age group is for boys in the school year 7 age group starting on 1st September, i.e. children aged 11 at the 1st of September 2011.

How do I join
The squad are currently on a close season break but will start pre season training in July/August.
Please check the web site training sessions for details of when training starts. View sessions
During the playing season September - April matches are on Sunday Mornings 10:00 - Noon.
We are aiming to run two teams this season so if you are interested in playing junior rugby come down to Copley on any training session or match day. Any new players experienced or new to the game are welcome to join in.

After the major changes of last season when we moved from 9 a side to 12 a side, the transitin to under 12's rugby are relatively small and insignificant. There are no changes in pitch size or game duration but we add an extra forward at Number 8.
The under 12's will agan compete in the district festival with the top three clubs gaining entry into the Yorkshire cup. The squad are progressing well and based on last years results have a good chance of qualifying for the Yorkshire Cup.
We have a very experienced team of 3 coaches with RFU Coaching qualifications. They will ensure all players of all abilities have a pleasurable rugby experience in a safe and controlled environment. There are will be a number of players returning again this year but it would be great to see a few new arrivals, both those who are encountering rugby for the first time or those who are looking to supplement some experience gained at school or other clubs. The emphasis is on enjoyment and team spirit through rugby. Winning is an enjoyable experience, but if you achieve pleasure from the game success often comes as a by-product.Pre- season training start date has not been decided yet but details to be announced nearer the time on the website home page. Any new players experienced or new to the game are welcome to come down and join in. We are aiming to run two squads, an experienced team and a development team for new arrivals and players still learning the basics.
