Welcome to the under 13's page. This age group is for boys in the school year 8 age group starting on 1st September, i.e. boys aged 12 at the 1st of September 2010.

When do the squad train
The squad have started pre season training on Wednesday evenings at Copley 6:00pm - 7:00pm. Please check the web site training sessions for any changes due to holidays etc. View sessions

When do the squad play matches
During the playing season September - April matches are on Sunday Mornings 10:00 - Noon.

How do I join
We have a squad of 15 players but need more players to cover for injuries and players unavailable. We are aiming for a squad of 20 plus players so if you are interested in playing junior rugby come down to Copley on any training session or match day

2009 - 10 Season - Under 12's
Last season as under 11's the squad had merged with the under 12's, but this season they are running as a seperate under 12's squad. With a squad of 10 players we will be looking to recruit a few more players to run a full squad.

Since the start of the season the squad has grown steadily and we now have 15 players. Ben Robinson who plays for the 1st XV and parent Mark Wade now help Mick with the coaching. Just after Christmas Friday evening training sessions (6:00pm - 7:00pm) were introduced and the squads performances are starting to improve.

Review of 2008 - 09 Season - Under 11's
The under 11's only had 10 players this season which meant they were unable to play regular fixtures so we merged the squad with the under 12's to form an under 11/12 development squad.

This season they move up to play midi rugby with 12 players in the team. The scrum now has 5 players with the introduction of a second row and 4 man line outs. During the season we will look to recruit and develop more under 11 players. Ideally we would like to build a squad of 15 players. The under 11's have a new coach this season Mick Bruce, who will work with Andy Day to coach both the under 11's and 12's. Andy coaches the forwards and Mick coaches the backs. Any new players who would like to play midi rugby are very welcome to come down to Copley on Friday evenings pre season or on Sunday mornings when they are training or have home games. Please look at the fixtures list to check the minis are at home.

There were good displays away at Wharfedale and Cleckheaton and at home to Baildon and Skipton Perhaps the most pleasing result was the last game of the season against Keighley. Back in January they lost 0-35 but turned the table with a 7-5 victory. Considering they playing games against u12 sides they have performed well.

Review of 2005 - 06 Season - Under 8's
The under 8 section started playing competitive fixtures this season and are playing well. The following new players joined the club during the season Jacob Stokes and Max Dawes. There is now a squad of 9 players but we do require more players to build a second team. The under 8's ended their season with a playing record played 13, won 4, drawn 1, lost 8.

Under 8's Awards
Matthew Harris won the most improved player of the season.
Jack Pilcher won the player of the year trophy.
